os9100 Optical Pressure Sensor

The Luna os9100 Series consists of low-profile fiber Bragg grating (FBG) pressure sensors for static and dynamic measurements. Unlike many conventional pressure-monitoring systems that are limited to approximately 16 sensors, more than 300 os9100 sensors can be integrated with Luna’s HYPERION platform, enabling dense pressure measurement across distances of up to 10 km.

The os9100 Series uses fiber Bragg grating technology to detect small changes in pressure while operating on the same HYPERION platform as Luna sensors for strain, temperature, displacement, and acceleration.

Installation is designed to be simple and repeatable using a self-adhesive mounting method. The os9100 Series supports pressure ranges from -2,000 to 4,000 Pa for the os9110 and from -3,000 to 13,000 Pa for the extended-range os9120, with resolution down to 2 Pa when averaging is applied.

The os9100 Series is compatible with Luna’s ENLIGHT Sensing Analysis Software, which provides tools for data acquisition, computation and analysis of optical sensor networks. Developers can also use the HYPERION platform’s application programming interface and examples written in LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB, C++ and C#.
